The Art of Science
Nanofan Industrial Coatings resources and participates in research with the expert scientists and well-equipped laboratories. We produce supplies that work for you…increasing efficiency. It's not just theory ... it's the advent of technology. No one can deny the affected developments that nanotechnology is producing in materials and the manner in which materials are manufactured. In more simple terms, nanotechnology leads to the production of improved materials.
Visit our products page to learn about liquid applied coatings, it dries to a thin layer and provides exceptional insulation, it reduces energy consumption, lowers carbon emissions corrosion protection and prevents mold. It also improves worker safety, protects plant assets and decreases maintenance costs. NanoIsola has proven to provide energy savings in a variety of industrial and residential applications. Our products are low VOC and environmentally friendly. Observe cases for Industrial and Residential applications on our case study pages.
Research and Development
R&D department consists of specific functions to aid the entire community in coatings development made faster and more accurate. The community has been concentrated on development of new Nanotechnology based products and also product quality analysis by leaving the auxiliary activities - analytical analysis, information and knowledge gathering and instrument maintenance - to the support team.
Quality Control laboratory
General testing is necessary to acquire a continuously high quality product performance and to develop novel products.
NANOISOLA has a well-equipped and advanced analytical laboratory providing a wide range of services to the rest of the R&D organization. Test panels can be run with project material.
Specified tests are conducted on sample panels to ensure a quality product. The test results are kept on file for future reference. Some of the tests done include:
Proper paint coverage
Visual / appearance
Dry film thickness
Color
Pencil hardness
Adhesion
Impact resistance
Film thickness
Dry adhesion (cross-hatch)
Boiling water adhesion (cross-hatch)
Pencil range
Direct Impact
(Actual test panels are labeled, cataloged and retained for a period of one year. Data is maintained electronically)
Approved Applicator Process
Test samples are submitted periodically to paint vendor laboratories for additional testing. Strict performance criteria are required to maintain status of Approved Applicator. Some of the tests done include:
• Energy saving efficiency
• Dry film thickness
• Color uniformity
• Nitric acid resistance
• Abrasion resistance
• Wet adhesion
• Dry film hardness
• Dry adhesion
• Direct impact
• Detergent adhesion
The laboratory co-operates with the product developing experts work to make new and improved products faster and more accurate. During testing of new product performance, the use of analytical techniques improves our ability to select the right technology and to differ between good and excellent products. This is done by characterizing polymers and other rudimentary materials by liquid chromatography and determining concentrations of pigments by spectroscopic methods. Analysis of customer complaint is also significant services, both to learn how we can boost our products and to guide our customers. To enable us to take full advantage of quality control, the laboratory has an experienced and educated staff of chemists to complement our product developers. Our scientific background gives us the edge needed in making the best coatings in the world.
Health and safety - Our Group Policy HSE is a part of our management system, and all our activities should - as a minimum - comply with relevant and applicable local laws and regulations, and our own group HSE requirements. We are authorized to continually improving performance within specific areas in accordance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. We shall, as primary objectives:
- Our suppliers and contractors are required to document and/or demonstrate an acceptable HSE standard.
- Function and maintain our facilities in a way that prevents fires, accidents and incidents thus adding to the secure environment
- Endeavor to substitute dangerous chemicals to less dangerous chemicals
- Priorities the safety of our employees by ensuring a good and acceptable working environment that is proven to be secure and safe
- Wherever possible, limit pollution by using more environmental friendly raw materials and processes
- Minimize waste by focus on recycling of materials
- Training of our employees in order to increase competence that will ensure awareness of their obligations to prevent negative impact to health, safety and the environment, as well as prevent loss of value by damage to property.
